- Pascal Boulanger : President of the Pascal Boulanger Group, President of the Winners Club from 2006 to 2016. Today a network man with a law degree. He is immersed in the world of real estate very young and quickly becomes a property administrator. He then goes into cleanliness and real estate development. He diversifies the skills of the group he creates by expanding in the areas of green spaces, insurance and personal service. - Philippe, Clauw: Communication professional for more than 30 years, including 15 years as director of a higher education school specialized in communication (EFAP), creator of a regional news magazine, former director of the Press Club and correspondent of the Voix des Sports for nearly 10 years. Very sensitive to the medical world and research. He is particularly involved in the outreach of DigestScience.
- Pr. Antoine Cortot: Professor and hospital practitioner (PU-PH) in hepato-gastroenterology at Lille Faculty of Medicine/CHRU since 1981, former head of the Digestive and Nutrition Diseases department. Throughout his career, he has moved between providing care to digestive tract disorder patients (most particularly Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis patients), teaching digestive diseases and conducting research in intestine inflammation. Currently a research consultant for Lille CHRU.
- Pr. Stéphane Nancey : Professor of Gastroenterology at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and Head of the Hepato-Gastroenterology Department at the University Hospital of Lyon. Has a care activity for patients suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and a research activity within the INSERM U1111 team "Immunity of the mucous membranes-Vaccination-Biotherapy" at the International Center for Research in Infectiology (CIRI) in Lyon . Member of the European Crohn's and Colitis Organization, the Scientific Council of the Group of Therapeutics of Inflammatory Digestive Disorders (GETAID) and founding member and Scientific Council of the Research Group on Inflammatory Digestive Diseases (REMIND).
The qualified experts of the Board are selected for their top-notch skills in the area of DigestScience activities.
These are natural persons representing public research organizations.
The Government Commissioner
A government commissioner, designated by the Interior Minister after consulting the Minister of Research, attends the Board meetings in an advisory capacity. He ensures observance of the articles of association and of the public purpose in the activities of the foundation. He is the prefect of region Nord Pas de Calais, M. Michel Lalande.
International Scientific Committee
This committee consisting of 6 members assists the Board of Directors regarding the scientific orientations of DigestScience. It includes internationally recognized scientists and clinicians with various areas of expertise.
Pr. Jean-Frédéric Colombel
Gastroenterologist, former head of the digestive diseases and nutrition department at the Huriez hospital in Lille (France). Current director of the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Gastroenterology Department of Icahn school of medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. Member of the learned society IOIBD (International Organization of Inflammatory Bowel disease) since 2009. Scientific advisor for the "Immunology, Microbiology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease" (IMIBD) section of the AGA (American Gastroenterological Association) since 2006. He has been president of several learned societies, including ECCO and GETAID.
Pr. Laurent Beaugerie
Professor of gastroenterology at Saint-Antoine hospital, Pierre et Marie Curie University, Paris 6, vice president of the AFA scientific council, member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and one of the two national representatives for France in the European Crohn and Colitis Organization (ECCO).
Pr. Julian Panes
Head of the gastroenterology department at Barcelona hospital and professor of medicine at Barcelona University, joined the scientific council of DigestScience. His research team works on the identification of new molecular targets for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases, the development of cell therapies and the implementation of new diagnostic tools, with a particular focus on cross-sectional imaging.
Pr. Giovanni Barbara
Gastroenterologist, leader of a Research Unit at Bologna University (Italy). Particularly active in biomolecular and therapeutic research and the social aspect of functional gastrointestinal disorders.
Dr. Simon Travis
Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Translational Gastroenterology Unit, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. He was President of the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation 2012-2014.(ECCO).
Pr. Séverine Vermeire
Professor at Louvain University in Belgium, Séverine Vermeire is an expert of functional genomics in IBD. President-Elect of the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation (ECCO).
